THE PROCESS
|
|
| |
The process we use to deliver your concrete is what sets Short Loads apart from the rest. We use state of the art trucks that act as both a
concrete trasportation truck and a mobile concrete mixer. This means that you are no longer at the mercy of the delivery truck.
When you're ready for the concrete it is mixed, on site, and to the consistency you need for your application. We can even add color or other additives during the
mix. |

Our trucks are divided into 4 separate sections. At the front of the truck is a water tank. Just behind this tank are the aggregate sections (sand and gravel), side by side. Finally, at the back of the truck
is the cement powder section. This section is sealed from the elements in a watertight compartment. Each of these sections is top-loaded at our facility and the separate ingredients are then transported to the job site.
Running down the center of our truck is the delivery shute. Aggregate is pumped down the shute and mixed with the appropriate amount of cement powder
and water. This delivery can be continuous or intermitent with a total maximum yield of 9 yards of concrete.
If weather or your particular application dictates a drier or wetter pour our technician can adjust the appropriate settings on the fly. Precisely controled gates determine the amount of each dry ingredient introduced into the concrete.
The result is the perfect concrete pour with little or no waste. |
